Thank you for sharing that Cathy. Before I got the book, and before I saw An American Crime, that information on the CrimeLibrary was one of the first things I read about this case.
Here's how I found out about Sylvia... I was watching Jack Ketchum's The Girl Next Door one night and then the next day I looked up the real story behind that film. At the time that I was watching the movie, I wasn't around the internet, so I couldn't look it up until the next day. The place I was at had Tivo, so I was able to fast forward through the bad parts. However, that didn't make it any less horrible because I knew what was happening. It really sickened me. After finding out about the real story, I've never forgotten Sylvia. She is embedded in my heart and I will never forget her.
